Isaac, a 60 years old youngster, was a part of a group that if you look at the typical Morzine – les-Gets pictures, you’d think they’ve got nothing to do here. …if it was true, I wouldn’t have wrote these lines.
A group of 6-8 youngsters like that, 2 of ‘em reaching soon their 60′th year, had joined Bertrand, our expert for slow groups looking mainly to have fun and go home in one piece.
Isaac was a little stronger then the rest of the group, but he said they can not stay without the old man keeping an eye on’em. All of ‘em never believed they will ever ride on a DH track, listening to the Bzzzzz made by the flying DH riders, counting the number 20 on their Polars.
Morzine & les-Gets provides these people the once in a lift time option to view from no distance what they usually see only in extreme movies – Heavy DH bikes, all this protecting stuff, people jumn all the north shore ramps, the dirt jumps, and all this other stuff.
The Boomerang, the hotel in which Isaac and his friend stayed in, gave him and the other another point of view, looking at the youngsters drinking beer in the most lively bikers bar in town, the mechanic working in the back yard around the clock, and finally, endless talking about bike parts…
